How do you change your background image?
1) Log into your Twitter Account

How do I get a website or logo designed?

There are many companies out there that can help you create a logo or website. They make it very simple for you. You just document everything you want in details and they will provide you with quality results.

I tend to lean towards companies that crowdsource. Crowdsourcing is when your project gets worked on by an entire community of people and you choose the winner. In this format you get numerous versions of the work then you pick the winner vs only getting one version and not liking it. Crowdsourcing companies tend to produce higher quality results.

How to Launch an Internet Product

Launching an Internet based product can be very successful if done correctly. Don’t let it be a horrible experience. Below are some basic tips to making sure your product launch is successful:

1) Define Your Launch Date: Make sure everyone knows the day your releasing your product. That date should be shared in all of your emails and on all your WebPages. The more people see your date, the more anticipation builds. Also, NEVER change your launch date.

2) Create excitement: Make sure you consistently email your list about the launch date. Build excitement!! Create a 1 and 2 week until our product launch email. Then email daily (6 days til launch, 5 days til launch, 4 days til launch, 3 days til launch, 2 days til launch, TOMMORROW)

3) Create a Count Down Section on your Website: Every time someone visits your website there should be a countdown. It should feel like New Years Eve!!

4) Create Urgency: Your product launch should be shut down after 48 hours. Don’t drag it on. Make sure people know the product is only available for a short time. You can bring it back to the market in a month or two. Doing this will increase your initial sales. Not having an end date will decrease your sales.

 5) Build Your Affiliate Relationships: The more people promoting your product the better. Everyone should be emailing during the “pre-launch” period. It just makes the excitement that much greater. Make sure you test all of the affiliate traceable links. If this part of your launch fails, you will fail!

 

 

 

Segment Your Data List, Make More Money

This week I segmented our List and added State Information. This information was NOT provided by the customer, I figured it out.

Most Internet Marketer data lists only contain First Name and Email addresses. That is the most ideal information captured in squeeze pages to increase conversions. The more you know about your customers, the better you can market to them. The more you market to them, the more money you can potentially make.

Geoff, How did you figure out how to get the state information from just an email address and a first name? Most webforms when submitted have an IP address associated with it. This is what whatismyipaddress.com told me about IP accuracy: “The country accuracy is estimated at about 99%. For IP addresses in the United States, it is 90% accurate on the state level, and 81% accurate within a 25 mile radius.”.

You can use public API tools to reverse and IP address. This will help clean your list and get more data points. If you are running local speaking events like http://www.fortunebuildersseminars.com it also helps put more people in seats.

CLickbanks Reccuring Billing Products

Over the last couple weeks I have been researching selling some of Clickbanks monthly reccuring billing products.

Selling those type of products with Clickbank has a lot of value. You can start building up your monthly “mailbox money” account. Mailbox money is checks that shows up  at your door every month for products you sold months ago.

Cleaning Your Email List.

To all you email and Internet marketers out there: here is the ultimate tip to increase your email deliverability.

Clean your List: Make sure you are emailing a clean data list.

These two buttons are your WORST enemy (FEAR THEM)

Your ultimate goal is to decrease someone clicking these buttons.

The more you promote to people that don’t want your services, the higher risk you have of getting blocked by the ISP (Yahoo, Google).  If you have ever bought an email list, never ever mix that list with your double-opt in list. Purchased list will get your emails blocked every time.

Remember: It isn’t who owns the biggest list, it is who cleans and maintains their list wins. The higher your email delivery is, the more you can sell and promote your services. You can have a big data list, but if ISP’s block your emails nobody will ever see your email.

People always argue what email services provider is the best (iContact, EmailLabs, ConstantContact). These service providers are only as good as YOUR email list. Garbage in – Garbage out. Don’t evaluate a service provider based on their delivery rate, you define your delivery rate based on how much you spam. Evaluate these providers on their monitoring tools not a 99.9 percent delivery rate.

Out Communicate your Competition

In this new web 2.0 world the company that communicates the most WINS. Previously, companies would need numerous approvals before a press release. Now a public company CEO is uploading his fishing trip from his The Flip camera http://www.theflip.com directly into Youtube or his corporate site.

The long approval process for communication is a thing of the past. If your company isn’t communicating daily online, you appear out of business.

I’m not talking about a formal press release, or a New York Times article. I’m describing the new online communication vehicles that are producing billions of online sales. The new online communication vehicles are blogs, social networks, and video sites. You should be producing content daily for these online communities.

It is time to stop over thinking all of your marketing, and start communicating daily.

There is no longer a need for a structured sales pitch or fancy marketing layout, just a sincere valuable message. If you provide a service, tell your personal story. A consumer is more likely to buy from you if they feel a personal connection. Everyone has a story. Tell yours.

Don’t get me wrong; there is a time and place for a great marketing layout and a phenomenal marketing message. In today’s online world companies are creating hundreds of videos and blogs a day. Do you have 20 minutes to create one? That is all it took me to type this blog.
